AboitizPower, EPI closes power supply deal
EPI will be providing solar power capacity to AboitizPower’s retail electricity companies.
Aboitiz Power Corp. (AboitizPower) and Emerging Power Inc. (EPI), the renewable energy arm of Nickel Asia Corp. have signed a power supply agreement to provide solar power to its retail electricity companies.
Through its subsidiary Jobin SQM Inc., EPI will be providing additional solar power capacity from the recently completed 100-megawatt Sta. Rita Solar Power Plant in Zambales province.

This will be directed to AboitizPower’s retail electricity companies, Aboitiz Energy Solutions, Inc. (AESI), and Adventenergy Inc.
“We thank EPI for this partnership that puts AboitizPower’s retail business in a stronger position for growth,” Sandro Aboitiz, AboitizPower’s Senior Vice President for Commercial Operations, said.
“We also hope to continue strengthening our ties with other industry players to achieve energy security.”
AboitizPowerRetail plans to grow its portfolio of renewable energy supply to cater to its customers. Overall, AboitizPower is looking to expand its renewable capacities to 4,600 MW or 50% of its energy portfolio by 2030.
