Vietnam saves 1.31 billion kWh in 2011
Vietnam saved about 1.31 billion kWh in 2011, which is equivalent to 1.42 percent of the country's commercial power.
According to Electricity of Vietnam, the figure exceeds and exceeding what was planned for the year.
The entity reported that production sector saved more than 526 million kWh; families and trading and service facilities saved 548 million kWh; the public light system saved more than 133 million kWh, and the administrative sector saved 130 million kWh, contributing importantly to power sufficiency in the dry season in 2011.
EVN expressed the need to develop programs on energy auditing and power saving.
