Vietnam revamps national solar power development plan
It will be finalised by July 15.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) of Vietnam will finalise the national solar power development plan by 15 July 2018 and will report to the Prime Minister new solar power projects added to the amended National Master Power Plan VII (March 2016). The MoIT will be allowed to consider and add new projects, whose appraisals were submitted to the Prime Minister for approval.
So far, the MoIT has approved more than 70 solar projects exceeding 3,000 MW, which will be commissioned before June 2019. Solar projects will receive feed-in tariffs of US$9.35c/kWh.
