PLN generates 134 TWh as of Q3
PLN announced that it produced 134 terrawat hours of electricity across Indonesia during the first nine months of 2011.
PLN primary energy director Nur Pamudji, according to Jakarta Post stated that the company consumed 29 million tons of coal, 8.3 million kiloliters of oil-based fuels and 216 trillion British thermal units of gas, said in a press statement sent over the weekend.
“From January to September, 43 percent of PLN and independent power producers’ source of energy came from coal, 22 percent from natural gas, 23 percent from oil-based fuels, 5 percent from geothermal and 7 percent from hydro,” he said.
“Given that trend, we estimate that by the end of this year we will produce around 182 TWh of electricity and consume 43.5 million tons of coal and 292 tbtu of gas,” he added.
