Vietnam focuses on capacity building for atomic energy
Vietnam will provide 70 full university scholarships in the field of atomic energy in 2012.
These scholarships are within the framework of the scheme "Training and human resource development in the field of atomic energy" and the Agreement signed with the Government of Russian Federation through Rosatom to provide scholarship allotment for Vietnam in 2012 to train professionals in the field of atomic energy.
Scholarship granted by the Vietnamese government include subsidies for living expenses traveling expenses, medical insurance, fees for passport and visa application and two-way airfare. Living costs and health insurance issued on the basis of periodic reports provided by the students at the end of each semester.
In addition to these scholarships of the Russian and Vietnamese governments, qualified candidates will sign a commitment contract to work in accordance with the allocation of Electricity of Vietnam after they graduate and will be granted an additional 200 USD/month apart from monthly wage.
Qualified candidates are expected to attend school at the end of September or October, 2012.
The Ministry of Education is in the process of further negotiation for additional targeted scholarships to different institutions such as Moscow University of Energy, Tomsk University of Technology, University of Ural Federal, St. Petersburg University of Technology and Moscow University of Construction.
