UK-based RES co-plans 2GW of renewables in Australia
It aims to accelerate development of projects in Queensland for the next 10 years.
UK-based RES is working with Australia-based Energy Estate on the Central Queensland Power project (CQP) in Australia, which plans to bring over 2GW of wind, solar and storage developments and new transmission infrastructure, according to a press release.
Over the next 10 years, CQP aims to accelerate the development of an integrated portfolio of wind, solar and energy storage projects in the Fitzroy Renewable Energy Zone. This includes creating a supply chain for the renewable energy sector in Queensland.
Energy Estates and RES have been working closely with key stakeholders in the Gladstone region and the Queensland Government to accelerate progress.
