The project co-located with the company’s Magaat hydroelectric power plant in Ramon, Isabela, uses liquid-cooled lithium-ion batteries and a 230-kilovolt power transformer connected to the grid.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the project was held in April 2022, with the construction completed in July 2023.
In December 2023, the plant concluded testing and commissioning with the grid operator.
