SJVN to develop 200MW solar project in Maharashtra
It will be constructed for 18 months.
SJVN Green Energy Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SJVN, was given by the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company a Letter of Award for the development of a 200-megawatt (MW) solar project in the state.
In a disclosure, SJVN said the project, which will be constructed in 18 months from the signing of a power purchase agreement, has a tentative development cost of around $121.2m (INR10b).

The solar project is seen to generate 455.52 million units of electricity in the first year and generate a total of 10,480.82 million units for 25 years.
It added that the project will also help in reducing carbon emissions, it said.
