Battery attachment surpassed 150,000.

Battery attachments to rooftop solar PV sawnewadditions of 18,427 in the fourth quarter, representing a 35.3% increase compared tothe same periodlast year.

In a report, the Clean Energy Council said battery attachments are“steadily growing,”exceeding 150,000 since 2020.

More than a third of such installations were deployed in 2023 only.

CEC, meanwhile,said that only 18% of small-scale batterieswere installedalong with rooftop solar,which indicatespotential for more deployments.

The council launched the Home Battery Saver Programme for this yearwhichaims to provide rebates to customers to adopt home battery systemswhichcould drive the increase of battery attachment rate.
