PLN and DNV tie up on designing power-grid systems in Indonesia

PT PLN (Persero), through its subsidiary PT PLN Engineering (PLNE), signed a Memorandum of Understanding with DNV to collaborate on designing power-grid systems for disaster recovery control in Indonesia.
In a statement, DNV said the two-year MOU will focus on supervisory controland dataacquisition,and energy management systems that will enablereliable, efficient, and safe operations ofsmartpower grids and microgrids.
“To unleash the potential of clean energy, investing in power grids is as important as investing in renewables developments, and collaboration is essential if smart grids are tomaximizetheir potential todecarbonizeenergy systems,”said Brice Le Gallo, Vice President and Regional Director APAC, Energy Systems a DNV.

The MOU also indicated the parties' intentionto jointly use resources, joint marketing and business development.
They will also boost thePLNE’semployees’capacity through programmesincludinglocal and overseas workshops.
