NTPC to build India’s biggest solar plant

State-owned power company NTPC Renewable Energy has been given the green light to construct a 7.75-gigawatt (GW) solar plant in Gujarat, India.
According to NTPC, this would be the biggest solar power plant in the country.Aside from solar, the power company also plans to generate commercial-scale green hydrogen from the project.
The group previously committed to building 60 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2032. NTPC currently has a capacity of 66 GW across 70 projects, with a further 18 GW under construction.
