LOGOS-led consortium, Solar Bay to install largest rooftop solar in Australia
They will install 60MW of rooftop solar and 150MWh of battery storage.
A consortium led by LOGOS entered a 30-year partnership with Renewable Energy Fund, Solar Bay, for the installation of the largest rooftop solar and micro-grid in Australia’s largest intermodal freight facility.
In a joint statement, the companies said Solar Bay will provide network and retail energy services to the tenant of Moorebank Logistics Park with the installation of the 60-megawatt (MW) rooftop solar and 150MW-hour battery energy storage.
These technologies can generate electricity enough to power 40,000 homes in New South Wales and avoid around 67.2 kilotonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually.

The site, which has a roof space of over 800,000 square metres, has a capacity of up to 130MW and generates 183 gigawatt-hours of electricity annually.
Meanwhile, the precinct-wide microgrid will operate at a combination of 11 kilovolts (kV) and 33 kV, when completed, it can cover 44% of the total electrical requirement will be provided through the on-site generation and the remaining power will come from an off-site wind farm.
Other members of the consortium are AustralianSuper, AXA IM Alts, Ivanhoe Cambridge and TCorp.
