EGAT collaborates with Metlink on Cryogenic Carbon Capture Technology

The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) signed a confidentiality agreement with Metlink to exchange information to develop cryogenic carbon capture technology.
In a statement, EGAT said they aim to apply the findings of the study on the carbon capture technology to its power plants in the future.

Thidade Eiamsai, EGAT Deputy Governor-Power Plant Development and Renewable Energy, said this initiative supports the company’s Triple S Strategy to achieve carbon neutrality within 2050.
One of the Triple S Strategies stands for “Sink” through carbon capture, utilisation and storage.
Eiamsai and Metlink CEO Prapan Asvaplungprohm signed the agreement.
