EGAT approves SPP projects
Tyhe Electricity Generating Auhtority of Thailand approved several cogeneration projects under the Small Power Producer scheme to purchase 2,000 megawatts.
Aside from a 130 megawatt power plant by a consortium between Nava Nakorn and Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding, Ratchaburi also won license for two plants with 110MW generating capacity each. The latter two to be located in Ratchaburi province will be operated by Ratchaburi World Cogeneration Co Ltd.
The other winners are Electricity Generating Plc's wholly-owned subsidiary TJ Cogen and Thai Oil Plc. Thai Oil won the licenses for two projects, to be located in its Sri Racha premise, with combined capacity of 220MW.
