China Huaneng Group has started and resumed the construction of renewable projects with a capacity of almost 34 gigawatts (GW), Group Chai Wen Shugang.

Speaking at the 2024 Renewable Energy Project Construction Promotion Conference, Shugang noted that the 34 GW capacity is spread across 222 renewable energy projects.

These large-scale projects involve the integration of wind, solar, coal-fired power and energy storage in northern China and smart energy diversification of wind power and nuclear power on eastern coasts.

This also includes wind, solar and hydropower in southwest China, and wind, solar, energy load and energy storage integration in central and eastern China.
