Basic Energy and RENOVA collaborate on 50 MW Mabini Wind Power Project

The project is covered by the government’s Wind Energy Service Contract.

Basic Energy Corporation and RENOVA signed a Joint Development & Shareholders Agreement for the construction of the 50-megawatt Mabini Wind Power Project in the Philippines.

In a statement, Basic Energy said RENOVA and the company will hold an equal share in the Mabini Energy Corporation, the venture firm which will lead the development of the wind project.

The Mabini Wind Power Project, located in Barangay San Teodoro, Mabini in the province of Batangas, covers a 4,860-hectare contract under the government’s Wind Energy Service Contract.

The wind contract has a 25-year term which includes a five-year pre-development phase and an option to extend for 25 years.
