Australia OKs Green Gold Energy’s solar and battery storage projects

Australia-based Green Gold Energy has secured development approval for its 130-megawatt direct current solar plant and 91.7-megawatt hours battery energy storage system (BESS) project in the Stuart region.

According to the company, the development approval for the Morgan Solar Farm was secured on 11 July.

The facility will be located in Mid Murray Council in the Stuart region. It is expected to draw in an investment value of over $185m and create employment opportunities over the 18-month construction period.

Its installed capacity will be 108 megawatts, which can power up to 47,400 households.
