Alstom to build 850MW gas-fired power plant in Thailand
Alstom will build and supply equipment to a 850MW gas-fired combined-cycle power plant in Thailand.
It has signed a EUR225 million contract with the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand for the project.
Alstom is working in consortium with Sumitomo Corp. of Japan for the project and will supply two GT26 gas turbines, the turbogenerators, heat recovery steam generators, steam turbines and the distribution control system.
The power plant will be Alstom’s first combined-cycle power plant contract with EGAT and the first combined-cycle power plant in the world to feature the company’s upgraded GT26 gas turbine.
