ACME Group, IGL to set up green hydrogen infrastructure

The companies will also promote the adoption of green hydrogen.

Renewable energy firm ACME Group and City Gas Distribution firm Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the joint exploration to set up green hydrogen generation plants.

In a joint statement, the companies said the plan also includes the deployment of electrolysers to blend green hydrogen in IGL’s pipeline networks of gas supplied to households, industrial and commercial, and CNG for vehicles.

The two companies will also collaborate to create demand for green hydrogen in India by promoting its adoption.

The MOU was signed by Ashwani Dudeja, president and director–green hydrogen and ammonia at ACME, and Snjeev Kumar Bhatia, vice president-Business Development & Gas Sourcing at IGL.
