Japan to give loan for 2 Bangladeshi power projects
Two mega power projects.
Bangladesh will construct these from part of a $900 million loan provided by the Japanese government.
$467 million will be used for the Bheramara Combined Power Plant andthe $338 million will be lent to construct National PowerTransmission and Distribution Line.
The Ambassador of Japan handed over three note verbals to Finance Minister AMA Muhith in this connection on December 2.
"Japan remains committed to the development of Bangladesh as we want to work for the betterment of the people of this country," said Japan's Ambassador in Dhaka, Shiro Sadoshima.
