BHEL commissions 250 MW thermal unit at Uttar Pradesh
Uttar Pradesh added 6MU ofelectricty toits grid with the commissioning of a 250 MW unit at the Harduaganj Thermal Power Station.
The unit is being developed by Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited.
UPRVUNL had placed the order for setting up two units of 250 MW each at its Harduaganj TPS. The first unit in the contract was commissioned by BHEL in September 2011. The project has now been completed with the commissioning of the second unit.
BHEL has now commissioned thermal power generating units with an aggregate capacity of 1,000 MW back-to-back in Uttar Pradesh.
It is also currently executing contracts for another 250 MW unit at the developer's Parichha TPS and two units of 500 MW each at Lanco's Anpara TPS.
BHEL had bagged the order for this project and its scope of work included manufacture, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of the main plant package along with associated auxiliaries and civil works. The equipment for the project has been supplied by BHEL's plants at Haridwar, Trichy, Ranipet, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Bhopal and Jhansi.
