West Java produced 61% of Indonesia's geothermal energy
A 377MW power plant alone has already reached 114% of its full-year non-tax revenue target.
West Java produced 61%, or 1,948MW, of Indonesia's geothermal energy, easily surpassing levels of other regions in the country, a report from The Jakarta Post said.
According to the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry, the power plants came from Kamojang, Salak, Darajat, Wayang Windu, Patuha, Karaha, and Cibuni.
The 377MW Salak power plant alone has contributed $16.24m in non-tax revenue as of September, 114% of the full-year target.
Moreover, total non-tax revenue from West Java's geothermal energy sector has already hit $72.86m so far this year.
