Tohoku Electric Power buys 3.75MWp solar plant in Aomori, Japan
The project can power around 600 homes.
Conergy Japan K.K., the Japanese subsidiary of Conergy, has signed an agreement for the sale of a fully operational 3.75MWp solar plant in Sannohe, Aomori Prefecture.
Long regarded as one of the solar industry’s pioneers in providing solar services, Conergy provided its full end-to-end solar services to the Sannohe Solar Power 1 GK (SSP1) plant – which included project development, full turn-key EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) and Operations & Maintenance services. Conergy Japan collaborated with Center Denki KK on the local construction of the solar plant.
The SSP1 project is located on a 9.755 hectare site and has been operational since December of last year. The plant is expected to produce approximately 4,166MWh of clean energy annually, enough electricity to power approximately 600 homes while eliminating the emission of more than 2030 tons of carbon dioxide per year.
The energy supplied by the plant is being sold to Tohoku Electric Power Corporation through a 20-year power purchase agreement.
