Sarawak Energy to supply 230MW to Indonesia
Sarawak Energy has bagged deals to sell about 230MW of electricity to West Kalimantan, Indonesia, by mid-2014.
Sarawak's second minister of planning and resource management said that the construction for a 275Kv transmission line connecting Mambong in Sarawak to Bengkayang in West Kalimantan will begin next year.
This is the fifth sales agreement signed by Sarawak Energy since April.
Under the first four contracts Sarawak Energy will provide power to customers in energy-intensive industries under the Sarawak corridor of renewable energy initiatives.
