Philippine rooftop solar power capacity to hit 2.5 mW
This will be double the existing capacity.
The Philippine Solar Power Alliance (PSPA) expects the Philippines’ installed rooftop solar energy capacity to double to 2.5 megawatts from last year’s 1.12 mW.
PSPA expects more investments in rooftop solar installations as more homeowners and enterprises realize the opportunities to save money and mitigate climate change.
The rooftop solar installation at the Asian Development Bank headquarters in Metro Manila is the biggest rooftop installation in the country and generates 574 kW. It comprises over half of the total installed capacity of rooftop solar in the Philippines.
