Indonesia's Jawa-2 CCGT project gets second gas turbine
The 880MW project will be operational by 2018.
Enerdata reported that Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems (MHPS) has delivered the second M701F gas turbine for the 880 MW Jawa-2 gas-fired combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plant on the premises of Tanjung Priok Power Plant on the Jawa Island in Indonesia.
The whole project is being developed and built by Indonesia's state-owned power utility PT PLN, which awarded MHPS a full turnkey contract in 2016, including two M701F4 gas turbines, two heat recovery steam generators (HRSG), one steam turbine and the balance of plant (BOP). The CCGT project is expected to be operational in 2018.
