Glow Energy to invest $300 M in Thai wind farms
Glow Energy is planning to invest $300 million in two wind turbines with a combined capacity of 100MW in Chaiyaphum, Thailand.
Glow Energy vice-president for finance and investor relations Natthapatt Tanboon-ek, told the Bangkok Post that one project will generate 60MW while the other will produce 40MW.
The company is negotiating with the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (Egat) for transmission lines to the potential sites in the region.
Glow Energy has also joined Egat's latest bidding for small power producers, for three new projects near Rayong's Map Ta Phut area.
Each of the projects will cost between US$100 million and US$150 million.
