World Smart Energy Week launches inaugural Thermal Power Expo
Japan's thermal market is expected to hit US$131b in 2020.
Reed Exhibitions Japan will be holding the country's largest comprehensive show for smart and renewable energy--World Smart Energy Week 2017 from March 1 to 3 at Tokyo Big Sight.
It launched a new exhibition for advanced thermal power generation technologies, the Thermal Power Expo. There are three reasons behind the launch. Firstly, requests from attendees for an exhibition on thermal power generation technologies have been coming in. Secondly, thermal power market is rapidly growing in varoius Asian countries. According to Fuji Keizai Research in 2015, Japanese thermal power market scale was JPY15tr (US$131b) in 2013. This market is expected to balloon to JPY25tr (US$219b) in 2020. Therefore, now is the best time for business expansion in Japan. Finally, Japan has the latest thermal power generation technologies; thus, Japan is going to be an indispensable international hub for the thermal power generation business.
More notweorthy is the fact that one of the major organisations--Thermal and Nuclear Power Engineering Society (TENPES) has been co-organising the show since its inception to give full support for the industry and the show.
The World Smart Energy Week 2017 is currently being held from March 1 to 3 in Tokyo, Japan.
