Oriental Peninsula Resources Group Inc. is set to add a power generation plant with a maximum capacity of 60 megawatts to be fueled by local coal.
The diversification was firmed up during President Aquino’s recent visit to China, company president Caroline L. Tanchay said.
"Our commitment with the Board of Investments is to have construction started in four years," she said.
Oriental Peninsula eyeing diversification into other mining products, particularly coal.
