Korea's Taihan Electric wins $30M power cable deal in US
Taihan Electric Wire won a US$30 million contract to supply high-pressure power for San Diego, California.
The three-year contract with San Diego Gas and Electric Co. calls for the supply of 230 kilovolt cables, reprots Yonhap News.
It said that the SDG&E contract is a "turn key" arrangement that involves the supply of all the necessary cables as well as assembly and construction.
Taihan said that the U.S. contractor may opt to increase the overall project which could translate into more work down the road.
Taihan also won a $3 million deal to set up a 230 kilovolt high-pressure power system in Los Angeles late last year.
