ISDN pumps more into hydropower with USD1.9m new venture
To be funded by company's reserves.
According to OSK, integrated engineering solutions provider ISDN announced yesterday on its 80% interest in two Indonesian hydropower-related business for a total of USD1.9m, which will be funded by ISDN’s reserves. The rationale behind this strategic move is to expand in Indonesia’s hydropower production sector.

The two companies involved in this acquisition are PT Alabama Energy and PT Prima Paluta Energy, both involved in developing mini hydroelectric power plants in Sumatra.
President and Managing Director Teo Cher Koon said that Sumatra “offers huge opportunities in energy production as the territory ramps up its electricity sources in tandem with population and economic growth.
