Taiwanese government revised a law to eradicate nuclear power generation in the country come 2025, and increase renewable energy generation.
The law change targets raising the share of renewables in the power mix from its current 4% to 20% of overall output in 8 years by liberalising the renewable energy market.
Taiwan currently has three nuclear power stations accounting for around 14% of its electricity output.
