Japan and Kazakhstan discuss energy cooperation
Republic of Kazakhstan interested in renewable energy technologies.
A Kazakh delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister and Industry and New Technologies Minister Aset Isekeshev met with representatives of the Japanese New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO), the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Japan Atomic Power Company (JAPC).
At the meeting, both sides expressed interest for mutually beneficial cooperation in the energy sector. The Kazakhs and the Japanese discussed technologies for solar cells production, green economy, energy saving technologies, technologies for next-generation batteries production, water purification technologies and technologies for the production of light emitting diodes or LEDs.
