Indonesia inviting bids for solar photovoltaic projects

Tender covers 150 MW and will be issued in May.

The tender will last for two months and will be for the installation of at least 150 MW of new PV plants

Indonesia’s Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry is also planning a substantial new feed-in tariff or FIT. The new FIT will reportedly be up to US$0.25 per kWh and will be applicable for 20 years.

In June 2012, Indonesia announced its goal of adding 4,000 to 5,000 MW of new geothermal energy capacity by 2015. Its eventual goal is to add 10,000 MW of geothermal capacity by 2025.
