Chinese to support Indian waste-to-energy plant
The plant in Jawaharnagar, Hyderabad will be capable of producing 48 megawatts.
It will be capable of processing is 2,400 tonnes of waste per day. Waste management and environmental services company, Ramky Enviro Engineers, is expected to begin construction within the year and finish two years from now.
The waste to energy facility will have technological support from Chinese waste to energy specialist Sanfeng-Covanta, a joint venture with New Jersey based Covanta Energy.
Emissions from the plant’s incinerators will meet Euro pollution standards and there will be little of sign of any smoke or particulate matter.
