China producing more clean energy
Output up by over a fourth so far this year.
China has reported a 26% year-on-year jump in its clean energy output to 810.2 terawatt hours in the first 10 months of this year.
The State Electricity Regulatory Commission said the figure accounted for 20.4% of China’s total electricity output during the period. During this time span,
China generated 648.9 TWh from hydroelectric sources, up 27.1% from a year earlier, while its nuclear power and wind power output for the period rose 12.4% and 32.7% year-on-year to 81.2 TWh and 8 TWh, respectively.
During October, China added 10.35 million kilowatts of installed hydroelectric power capacity and 7.17 million kW of installed wind power capacity.
