Denmark increasing Indonesian RE investments
Danish companies to develop renewable energy and waste conversion projects.
Indonesian business delegates and their Danish counterparts recently met in Copenhagen at the Energy Europe 2013 exhibition and conference.
Dozens of Danish companies met with Indonesian business leaders to express their willingness to collaborate in renewable energy and waste conversion projects. Potential areas of cooperation between both sides include transfer of technology, investment and financing arrangements.
Projects that could materialize include waste conversion, biomass energy, biogas, micro-hydropower plants and combined heat and power projects.
Indonesia has the highest renewable energy potential in Southeast Asia. The growth forecast for non-hydropower renewable generation in Indonesia for 2013 stands at 10% and long-term growth is expected to average 12% between 2013 and 2022.
