Bison Brothers' all-in-one battery container enhances storage efficiency
It costs around $250,000 per kilowatt-hour.
Bison Brothers' all-in-one U2 battery container enhances the energy efficiency of storage, equipped with liquid cooling and a capability that allows a plug-and-play at the installation site.
In developing the product with a four megawatt-hour capacity, one of their main considerations is that it would be easy to transport, said Bison Brothers Managing Director Eddy Wong.
"We have to control a very low cost of logistics. We also considered security and safety concerns, then we have a good way to minimise our risk," Wong told Asian Power.
Wong added that compliance with local regulations is also one of the things they consider in deploying the technology.
He said that this product is rolled out in Japan, other Asian countries and the United States.
Moving forward, Wong said they will further develop their Energy Management Systems, noting that software also plays a vital role in the whole system design and future revenue.
