Hong Kong unveils guidelines for solar power installation
It aids in understanding related Feed-in Tariff application procedures.
Hong Kong has rolled out guidance notes for solar photovoltaic system installation amongst which will provide residents with instructions and requirements on the installation of such systems on rooftops atop New Territories village houses.
The notes assist people in understanding issues relating to the Feed-in Tariff application procedures.
The guidelines are part of the Carrie Lam administration’s concerted effort to support and facilitate renewable energy development in Hong Kong after recently relaxing restrictions on the installation of solar systems on rooftops to encourage adoption.
The government said it will consider making relaxations for rooftops of other private buildings, in particular low-rise ones.
It will also continue to launch various measures to encourage the community to join hands in fostering renewable energy development.
