Recurrent Energy disposes of 100 MW battery project

This is the third Mannum energy project sold to Epic Energy.

Global developer and solar energy assets owner Recurrent Energy sold its Mannum energy storage project in South Australia to Epic Energy.

In a statement, Recurrent Energy said this is the third Mannum energy storage project it sold to Epic Energy.

The Mannum Stage One project has a 7 MW capacity, whilst the Mannum Stage Two has a 39 MW capacity.

“The battery energy storage system rounds out Epic Energy’s investment at the current site, sitting alongside our two adjacent solar farms,” said Epic Energy CEO Clive D’Cruz.

“The standalone battery will create much-needed energy storage to support the supply of excess renewable energy to the grid during peak periods and to enhance stability,” he added.
