KPI Green Energy to develop 100-MW solar plant in India

The deal includes operation and maintenance for three years.

KPI Green Energy Limited has received the letter of award from the state-owned Maharashtra State Power Generation Co. Ltd. to develop a 100-megawatt (MW) solar power project in Maharashtra.

In a bourse filing, the company said the award also covers engineering, procurement, and construction with land and three years of operation and maintenance.

The project is part of the tender for the development of a cumulative capacity of 600 MW solar photovoltaic power projects at various locations in Maharashtra under the RE Bundling Scheme, it noted.

“This project represents our strategic expansion beyond Gujarat into Maharashtra, allowing us to leverage new opportunities and bring our solar power expertise to a broader geographical area, thereby reinforcing our position as a leading player in the renewable energy sector,” KPI Green Energy said.
