Shanghai to tender 200MW capacity in Fengxian offshore wind farm
This tender will cover the two of the wind farm’s eastern blocks.
The Chinese city of Shanghai is expected to issue a tender for the development of 200MW of capacity at the 400MW Fengxian offshore wind farm, north of Hangzhou Bay. This tender will cover the two of the wind farm’s eastern blocks.
The Shanghai Electric Power Company has also issued relevant opinions on the project's grid connection, Offshore Wind revealed.
Shanghai Investment Consulting as well as Shanghai Exploration and Design have also completed the wind measurement and the pre-feasibility studies for the site.
According to the results of the wind measurements, the site area has an annual average wind speed of about 7.2 m/s at the height of 95 metres, and the annual average wind power density of about 349.16W/sqm. The wind power density is at Level 3.
