Fukushima nuclear plant stable after new earthquake jolt
Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant remained stable afetr a 5.5 magnitude offshore earthquake that recently hit the surrounding area, according to operator TEPCO.
A TEPCO spokesman said that no new abnormality was seen at the facility.
The offshore quake hit the area at a depth of 30.2km, according to the US Geological Survey.
The latest earthquake is not expected to trigger a tsunami.
