International, Indonesian stakeholders to attend Nuclear Power Asia 2016

The 7th Annual Nuclear Power Asia is taking place on 20- 21 January, 2016 at the Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Mega Kuningan, Indonesia. Co-hosted by BATAN, this will be a premier platform to facilitate NPP knowledge and experiences exchange between Indonesia and others countries all over Asia as well as the world.
The programme will provide valuable insights on key challenges along the journey of new nuclear power programme development and how collaboration can play a big part in Asia’s advancement towards a safer nuclear energy future. For the participants from outside Indonesia, this year’s programme will cover valuable information on the key developments of Indonesia’s nuclear industry, how to invest in this country and licensing procedures; whilst Indonesian participants are promised to gain knowledge and experience on economic analysis for NPP, Insurance PLTN and new technologies.
300+ participants from nuclear energy authorities, energy commissions, NEPIOs, international developers/operators, technology suppliers, legal and engineering experts etc. are expected to attend the event next January.
40 international experts have confirmed as speakers. They include delegates from IAEA, United States Department of Energy, World Nuclear Association, GDF Suez, EGAT Thailand, Malaysia Nuclear Power Corporation, Vietnam Atomic Energy Agency, ESKOM South Africa, Nanyang Technological University Singapore, China General Nuclear Power Corporation, Ministry of Science and Technology Bangladesh, Sri Lanka Atomic Energy Board, KEPCO International Nuclear Graduate School, Philippines Department of Energy.
Indonesian stakeholders such as BATAN, BAPETEN, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), BAPPENAS, BKPM, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs will send delegations to attend this premier event as well.
