JERA suffers JPY100b loss in Q3
This reflected a JPY118b drop from the previous year.
JERA posted a net loss of JPY100.2b in the third quarter of fiscal year 2022, reflecting a JPY118.7b decline from the previous year.
The company noted in particular that losses from fuel cost adjustment system time lag significantly increased to JPY 398.7b from JPY209.8b.

Excluding the losses from the time lag, JERA said its net income increased by JPY70.1b to JPY298.4b.
“Net income excluding time lag increased mainly due to utilization of optimization function of JERAGM, etc., despite the impact of high LNG spot prices (-114.5b yen),” the company noted in its report.
